Privacy & analytics
We use our own analytics and Google Analytics to understand which articles people read, how they find this site, and which links they click.
What we collect
We record page paths, time, referring website, campaign labels, approximate country, device category, and actions such as clicking WhatsApp or requesting a booking. We do not record the contents of messages, social handles, forms, or article search terms.
Our own analytics does not set cookies. A random session identifier is saved in your tab’s session storage to group page views into visits. Your IP address and browser information are processed into a daily keyed hash for abuse filtering; the raw IP address is not saved in the analytics database. These identifiers are not used for advertising or tracking you across other websites.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand visits, traffic sources, and activity on this site. Google processes this information for analytics. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choices
We disable our own analytics and Google Analytics measurement when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, or when you opt out below. This choice is saved in this browser’s local storage and can be changed at any time. Reload open pages after changing it. Turning off analytics does not delete data already collected.
Who can see the data
Only the site owner can access our own analytics dashboard. The site’s hosting service processes and stores that data. Our own analytics records are retained for up to 366 days; older records are removed during collection.
External services
Links to WhatsApp, email services, and other websites open those services. Their privacy practices apply there. Analytics records the click, not whether you send a message. This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts.
